A retrostpective overview exhibition of paintings by Joke Frima.
Nature is is the source of Joke Frima's visual observations,
study and analysing is her basic principal.
The sheer inexhaustible vegitable kingdom
is the endless inspiration for Joke Frima's paintings
Untouched, wild nature:
artist Joke Frima (1952) is looking for that.
She not only paints colourful flowers, but also winding stems and graceful leaves.
But where do you find that unspoiled green beauty? In the details, is the answer from Frima.
It looks like she has been lying between the plants while she was painting.
She shows us the beauty of a thistle, the charm of a small cucumber flower and the majestic allure of water lilies.
The paintings of Frima are an ode to the untouched nature and show a true love for foliage.
Parallel to the museum exhibition FLORA in the Drents Museum,
a sales exhibition will take place at Harms Collection
